A young man from Kabul, Afghanistan holds many fond memories of mouth watering smells and savory flavors of food in the neighborhood where he was born and raised, De Afghanan.
He had a vision to one day bring back the same unforgettable, sense awakening tastes and smells to his life again.
The founder of De Afghanan restaurants, Aziz Omar and his immediate family, soon made his vision a reality by opening his first restaurant location in 1993 in what is known as, “Little Kabul” in Fremont, California.
The restaurant was named after the neighborhood which reminded him of the rich tastes of Afghan food he once enjoyed.
A core and unique quality which De Afghanan continues to possess is, the ability to preserve the authenticity and exquisiteness of true Afghan flavors found within the various dishes served.
We have worked to package our meals in a way that lets you bring the quality of our meals into your home. We always love to see you in person, but even when we can't we ensure that your dining experience is top notch!
